Garry Kasparov
Garry Kasparov is a former chess Grandmaster and current chairperson of the Human Rights Foundation. He holds the record for the longest reign as a Grandmaster (21 years), the most consecutive tournament victories (9+ years), highest ever ranking. His famous matches against the IBM super-computer Deep Blue in 1996-97 were key to bringing artificial intelligence, and chess, into the mainstream. Mr. Kasparov has authored fifteen (15) books — including “Deep Thinking” and “How Life Imitates Chess” — and is a contributing writer to the Wall Street Journal.
